THE FILE LIST FUNCTION

The easiest way to use filelist is to put a page (name it index) with the list function in the folder you want listed and link to it. (The page containing the list function does not appear in the list)
If you have any sub folders copy the index page to them. (xtgem will treat files named index the same as the index file in your root directory and open them when you open the folder or sub folder (see xtips 6 ) )

You can also use an iframe (inline frame) but not all browsers can handle them and xtgem tags an ad to the frame .(This is a very simple iframe and much more can be done with them)

GETTING FILE LIST TO WRITE YOUR PAGE !

If you have a large folder of files and want to to give more information than just the filename then set up the index pages as above then UPLOAD THE INDEX PAGE TO YOURSELF using the "upload from remote server" option.
What you will get is a page with all the links to your files ready to add your comments ! just delete the ad from the bottom. (last 2 blocks) If you use a text file you get a text file of links back
*WARNING*
Xt functions and some html DO NOT SURVIVE THE UPLOAD so keep it simple and add the fancy stuff after upload
